Jazz Café Hot Club Virtuosi

(Preview by Russell/Photo courtesy of Mike Tilley)
Newcastle’s Jazz Café is anticipating another sell-out evening with the return of Daniel John Martin and Swing Manouche. Tomorrow (Tuesday 14th) Paris-based violinist Martin renews acquaintance with Mick Shoulder’s brilliant gypsy jazz swing-time outfit. Earlier this month Emma Fisk’s Hot Club du Nord played to a standing room only audience demanding encores beyond half past eleven in the evening. Fisk is a virtuoso, so too Daniel John Martin. If you’re yet to hear him live this is your chance to catch up with a truly charismatic performer. Expect Grappelli and more from DJM. Mick Shoulder will be swapping his usual string bass duties for a six string workout with fellow virtuoso, Mr Giles Strong. The man at the back, the redoubtable Paul Susans will be assuming bass duties.
To be sure of a seat, book your ticket over the phone at a bargain advance price of £5.00., or pay £7.00. on the door (if not sold out). Telephone: 0191 222 9882. Vive le jazz hot!
Russell.
